Digital Image Size Calculator

  1. The Calculator is set to a default size of 8 x 10 at 300 dpi for an RGB color image.
  2. You may use any size image you want.
  3. Resolutions are limited to 300 dpi (High), 150 dpi (Good), and 72 dpi (Low).
  4. Image types are RGB color (the most common), Grayscale (Black-and-white), and CMYK color (used mainly for images destined for the printing press).
  5. Press "Calculate File Size" when ready.
  6. The calculated file size is approximately that of an uncompressed image, such as a TIFF with no compression options when scanned or created at the present settings.
  7. Press "Start Over" button to reset initial (default) settings.
